This amazing brownie recipe originated from my daughter-in-laws mother who, by the way, is a Fabulous Baker!
Although a glass baking dish works well for brownies, a metal baking pan produces more evenly baked brownies.
Next time I make these, I shall remember to take pictures! ;)
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cup cocoa
3 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup fresh raspberries
1 cup milk chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Beat or whisk butter and sugar until creamy.
Beat in the eggs and cocoa.
Stir in the flour and add the chocolate chips, if desired.
Gently, so as not to break them up too much, add the fresh raspberries.
Pour mixture into a greased, and lightly floured 9" x 13" metal baking dish.
Bake at 350 ° F for 30 minutes. Leave brownies in oven for another 5 minutes with oven turned off.
Remove raspberry brownie bars from oven and allow to cool before cutting.
If you wish to ice the Brownies, use the Brownie Icing Recipe here.
