This recipe makes a delicious seedless topping using fresh OR frozen raspberries for amazing colourful and delicious topping for ice cream, cheesecake, pudding, pancakes, waffles, and more!
I love this recipe because you can make it any time of the year since it can be made using fresh or frozen berries!
In the summer, when it's too busy and warm to be in the kitchen I quickly freeze the fresh raspberries, and then I make the sauce later.
So ... in season and out of season ... keep this recipe handy to make an amazing, mouth-watering sauce recipe with raspberries. You may want to double the recipe as it will keep in the fridge for a week or more!
Ingredients
NOTE - if you use frozen raspberries for this recipe, chop them in a blender. You may need to add a bit of water if they are very dry.
10 oz. fresh or *frozen raspberries
3 tbsp. strawberry jam
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
Directions
In a food processor or a blender, purée the raspberries.
Transfer the raspberries to a sieve and place over a pan.
Remove seeds by pressing purée through the sieve.
Add the jam and sugar to the pan.
Heat until bubbly, about 5 minutes.
Serve sauce warm, or at room temperature, or cold!
Makes approx. 1 cup of Delicious Raspberry Sauce.
