This White Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream Recipe makes the best homemade ice cream with raspberries

Make this delectable treat, and give your taste buds an explosive surprise!
You can make this recipe using either black or red raspberries.
If you have frozen raspberries, you can use them, but do not thaw them before adding them to the recipe.
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
4 egg yolks, at room temperature
1 cup fresh raspberries, (red or black raspberries)
8 oz. white chocolate (chocolate chips are fine)
1 cup whipping cream
Directions
In a small bowl in a microwave, or in a small pan, over low heat melt the chocolate.
Allow melted chocolate to cool, and set aside.
In a small pan, over low heat, combine the sugar and water until thoroughly dissolved.
Bring the above mixture to a boil, and then remove from heat. Stir often to avoid burning or sticking.
In a bowl, beat the egg yolks.
Add the (hot) water and sugar mixture to the egg yolks, while continuing to beat.
Return the mixture to the pan, and stir over low heat, (do NOT boil), until the mixture thickens (about 4 - 5 minutes), and a finger drawn across the spoon leaves a path.
Strain the above mixture into a clean bowl, and cool thoroughly.
Whisk the white chocolate (melted and cooled), into the egg and sugar mixture.
Fold in the raspberries.
Whip the cream till soft peaks form, and then fold the cream into the mixture.
Transfer the mixture to an ice cream machine, and follow manufacturer's directions, or,

For my Cuisinart ice cream maker, I set it for about 25 minutes.
Store ice cream in the freezer, with a piece of waxed paper over-top to keep the ice cream from forming ice crystals on top.
Makes about 1 1/2 quart of Delicious White Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream!
