This Cherry Raspberry Cobbler Recipe makes a beautiful dessert served warm with a dollop of whipped cream!
It is sort of like a deep-dish fruit pie, but less messy and easier to make:-)!

You can make this cobbler with red or black raspberries, or wild raspberries, if you are fortunate enough to have them on hand!
Ingredients
1 pint raspberries
1 pound sour cherries, pitted
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsps. baking powder
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. grated orange rind (optional)
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
2 tbsps. confectioners' sugar
1/4 tsp. butter
Directions
Butter a 2 quart baking dish, and toss the raspberries and the cherries together with the 2/3 cup sugar.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and the 1 cup of sugar.
Beat in the beaten eggs, milk, vanilla, and the orange rind.
Scrape over the berries and cherries, and bake at 350° F for 1 hour.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Serve with cream whipped with confectioners' sugar.
Serve 6 to 8.
